Security dog handler checking a padlock on a roller shutter door at a business unit with a German Shepherd beside them

Service

Short-Notice & Temporary Cover

Temporary dog-and-handler cover when something has gone wrong and the site can't be left as it is.

Overview

What the service is

A break-in, a cut fence, a broken shutter or an alarm that won't set can leave a site open overnight. Repairs take time, and the people who got in once may come back.

We provide temporary dog-and-handler cover to keep the site watched until repairs are done and normal security is back. The cover focuses on the weak points: the damaged fence, the forced door, the area that can't be locked.

Tell us what has happened and we'll tell you honestly what we can arrange and when.

What the service covers

Everything below is agreed with you and written into the plan before the first shift.

After a break-in

Cover while the site is made secure again, and to deter a return visit.

Damaged boundaries

Cut fencing, broken gates, forced doors or shutters waiting for repair.

Alarm or CCTV faults

Cover while an alarm or camera system is down or being replaced.

Gaps in security

When another security arrangement has ended and the new one hasn't started.

A few nights or a few weeks, ended when you no longer need it.

  4. Each shift

  5. Repairs done

    Hand back

Once the site is secure again, we end the cover.

Why it works

Why the first nights matter

After a break-in, a site is often at its weakest. The damage shows the way in, and the people responsible know what's there.

A visible dog team in those first nights makes a return visit far less attractive, and gives you time to get repairs done properly.

What we'll need from you

  • What happened and when
  • Where the damage or weak points are
  • Access arrangements for the handler
  • A contact or keyholder who can be reached
  • How long you expect repairs to take
